Crispy Baked Garlic & Parmesan Steak Fries

The grill has been fired up friends!  It is officially grilling season in the Midwest.  The temps are in the 60s and 70s and that’s good enough for me!

I find that the side dishes to any bbq are as equally important to the entrée.   And what’s a big juicy grilled burger without big hearty steak fries to go with it anyway?

These sliced potato wedges are BAKED in a medley of spices and Parmesan cheese.

They come together in a mere few minutes and cook up in the oven as you are flippin’ those burgers!

Toss some oil and a few spices together in a bowl with your wedges, lay them on a baking sheet and bake.

The best part of these fries is the addition of Parmesan cheese.  It makes the fries get just a little crispier ~ yet they are perfectly soft and cooked on the inside.  So please don’t leave it out.

Dip them in ketchup or a spicy chipotle dipping sauce …. mmmmm hmmmmm

Ingredients

  • 3 Organic Russet Potatoes, sliced into wedges (I got 12 from ea potato)
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 teaspoons Fine Sea Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
  • 1/4 cup Freshly Shredded Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat
  3. Cut up the potatoes and place in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat
  4. Combine the spices and cheese in a small bowl and add to the potatoes. Again toss to coat
  5. Place the potato wedges on the baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 20-30 minutes until potatoes are fork-tender and golden.
  6. You can flip them over 3/4 of the way through if you’d like both sides golden brown
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite sauce
