Make THIS! Not THAT! : Parmesan Garlic Noodles


Well it has been a L-O-N-G time since I’ve done a Make THIS!  Not THAT! post.
NOVEMBER 2014 to be exact!  Wow!

Make THIS! Not THAT! is what got Happily Unprocessed started!  It’s when I was discovering what we were actually eating and I was fiercely passionate about eliminating processed foods from our house!

I know I’ve gotten away from doing them the past few years, but I feel it’s important I keep writing them.  It’s important because I want all of you to see that the boxed foods are NOT saving you that much time.  They are full of man made chemicals and ‘natural flavors’ and more importantly, they are affecting your health.

Making food from scratch DOES NOT take all night or a litany of ingredients.  You CAN wean yourselves from the middle of the supermarket and make DELICIOUS food that doesn’t take all night!

These garlic noodles are the #1 recipe on our site, with over 500,000 pins!   They are simple, they are easy and they are DELICIOUS!   They have organic, real ingredients like fresh garlic, butter, Parmesan cheese.   You cannot go wrong with this side dish!

The reason boxed rices, pastas, baking goods were invented in the 1st place was to save moms time in the kitchen.  Rather than get all the dry ingredients together, it’s much easier to just pour it from a box.  But to be honest, packaged products like this aren’t even worth the money.  They don’t save that much time!  It took me just a few minutes more to make these Parmesan Garlic Noodles from scratch and there is no comparison.

Why add colors like Yellow 5 & 6, MSG and natural flavors when you don’t have to?  And where exactly are the ‘herbs’ they are talking about anyway?
