Mocha Coffee Frappe

One  the best tricks I’ve learned so far (while adopting our new real foods lifestyle) is freezing bananas.

I NEVER throw away bananas anymore … as a matter of fact when I don’t have any frozen bananas on hand I buy the old ones at the supermarket that are already turning brown and chop them up into 1 or 2″ pieces and freeze them.

They are PERFECT in smoothies, you don’t need to add ice and it’s a great thickener to make them Extra thick!   Banana ice cream ROCKS, that post will come next week and now they’ve found their way into my Frappuccinos !

This is a very simple way to feel indulgent while remaining true to the real foods way of life.  Starbucks uses Monsanto milk for starters, and a ‘mocha flavored sauce’ to flavor their Mocha Frappuccino.

This recipe calls for under 5 ingredients and takes about 1 1/2 minutes to make.  Add a little homemade whipped cream on top if you like and sprinkle some cocoa powder on it too for fun!
