This cake may look intimidating, but we assure you ...   you can make it in 6 easy steps.

Cream the Butter, Sugar and Eggs

TIP!  Make sure all ingred are room temperature!

Combine Ingredients

To ensure a good lift and a light cake, it's important not to OVERMIX your batter.

Prepare the Lemon Syrup

As the cake is cooking, prepare the lemon syrup.

Poke Holes

Poke holes all over the cake using a skewer or handle of wooden spoon.

Pour Syrup

Pour the lemony syrup all over the cake letting it completely soak in.  mmmm

Prepare the Glaze

Make the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and lemon juice together in a small dish.

Spoon the glaze on top of the cooled cake!  Just look at that.
