Easy Cinnamon French Toast Recipe

Description

Whether you prefer your French toast in the morning or for dinner, this recipe is sure to fit the bill


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of bread (we recommend using brioche or challah for extra flavor and fluffiness)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. of sugar (optional, for added sweetness)
  • Butter or cooking spray for frying

Instructions

  1. If the bread does not come pre-sliced, slice it into thick even slices.  Set aside
  2. Whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and sugar in a shallow bowl.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium high heat and spray with cooking spray or a pat of butter.
  4. Dip the bread into the egg mixture and allow it to soak for 20 seconds.
  5. Place it on to the skillet – flip when it turns golden brown and cook the other side.
  6. Serve with butter, syrup, whipped cream, berries or your choice of meat.
