Ingredients

- 3 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup steel cut oats
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1–2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon real maple syrup
Instructions
- Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan
- Stir in the oats, turn the heat all the way down to low, cover and simmer for 25 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent the oats from sticking
- Stir in the milk, cinnamon, sugar and maple syrup and continue cooking another 10 minutes, until done
- Top with your favorite fruits like bananas, strawberries, blueberries, almonds, flax seed, etc.
