Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 12 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon real maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan
  2. Stir in the oats, turn the heat all the way down to low, cover and simmer for 25 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent the oats from sticking
  3. Stir in the milk, cinnamon, sugar and maple syrup and continue cooking another 10 minutes, until done
  4. Top with your favorite fruits like bananas, strawberries, blueberries, almonds, flax seed, etc.
