Baked Apple Oatmeal

Ingredients

2 Cups Rolled oats

½ Cup Pecans, chopped

1 tsp Baking powder (Hains no salt)

2 tsp Cinnamon

ÂĽ tsp Sea Salt

2 Cups Unsweetened Almond milk

ÂĽ Cup Apple sauce or maple syrup

2 tsp Vanilla extract

1 Tbsp. Flaxseed

1 Tbsp. Butter, melted

2 Sweet Apples

½ Cup Brown Sugar


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8’’x8’’ glass or metal baking dish and set aside.

  2. Mix the almond milk with a Tbsp of flaxseed meal in a large bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes.

  3. To the flax meal, add the baking powder, cinnamon, salt, apple sauce, vanilla extract, butter and brown sugar. Stir until combined.

  4. Add the rolled oats and pecans, stir to combine.

  5. Chop the apples into small bite-size pieces and add them to the mixture. Stir well to combine.

  6. Put the mix into the greased tray and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until oats are well set and golden brown around the edges.

  7. Let it cool a bit before serving.

  8. Enjoy it with maple syrup and more cinnamon on top.
