Description

A healthier version of the classic chocolate chip muffin with less sugar and extra large, just like the bakery.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Cups Flour
  • ¾ Cup Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder ( I use Hains which has no salt)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 2 Eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 1 Cup Chocolate chips, semi-sweet, milk or mini

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F. Line a large muffin tin with 6 paper liners. Set aside.
  2. Whisk together dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder/soda and salt). Give it a good whisk.
  3. Mix the melted butter, milk, eggs and vanilla. Pour this into the dry ingredients and fold until combined, but don’t over mix.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Fill each muffin tin to the top and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from the tin and allow to cool.
