Description

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs


Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the bread crumbs and gently mix until everything is just combined. Do not overmix, or the burgers can become dense.
  3. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into patties of even thickness. Press a small indentation into the center of each patty to help the burgers cook evenly and hold their shape.
  4. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. If using a grill, lightly oil the grates. If using a skillet, add a small amount of oil if needed.
  5. Cook the burgers for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until the center of each patty reaches 160°F.
  6. Remove the burgers from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Serve on buns or lettuce wraps with your favorite cheese, condiments, and toppings.
