Homemade Taco Seasoning made with chili, cumin, paprika, onion, garlic and oregano. Great for Taco Tuesday, Burritos or Chicken!
Anyone up for Taco Tuesday? I for one love me some tacos but what I don’t love are all the ingredients in the pre packaged taco seasoning mixes.
One of the worst offenders is Maltodextrin, which is just a fancy word for MSG. Do yourself a favor and mix up a big batch of this taco seasoning, label it and put it in your pantry.
It tastes better. It’s healthier and you get to control the amount of the ingredients you put in it. If you like your tacos a little spicier then add some more chili powder or black pepper. If you like it more mild then scale it back a bit.
Best part? NO MSG!

I used all organic ingredients when making this recipe and hope you do too! 🙂
Maltodextrin is not MSG. MSG is monosodium glutamate. Both are fine.

Looks great
Can you please tell me how many pounds of meat that is for
Thanks so much
I didn’t realize how many added chemicals were added into something as simple as taco seasoning. Why do they do that? And they always have too much salt. I really liked the taste of this taco mix and I like that I can change it next time to my tastes. It was really good
How much seasoning do you use?
