Have I ever told you how head over heels, truly in love I am with our homemade granola?
I really am. I eat it almost every morning. I just can’t get enough of it.  I’m not sure if I like it better with just plain milk or yogurt.
This (unfortunately) isn’t something I make year round … partly due to not wanting the oven on in the summer, even though it’s at a low temperature.
It’s just a fall kind of breakfast for me. There is a certain smell that takes over your house certain times of the year. I know you know what I mean.
And this is one of those baking smells that can only come from early fall with the honey and syrup wafting in the air.
Breakfast is really hit or miss in this house. As my kids get older, they tend to run out the door without eating way more than I like.
So my solution to that is to have food that is as mobile as they are.
There really is no ‘recipe’ for this. I just thought it might be fun to layer my yogurt and granola in a mason jar one day, then I added some strawberries and then blueberries.  I also keep hearing how great high cacao chocolate is for you so somehow that ended up in there too!
Imagine THAT!
So I started with about a ¼ cup of yogurt (I only use organic Greek yogurt), topped it with about ⅓ cup of our homemade Granola and added whatever berries I had, I broke off little chunks from an organic dark chocolate bar and added them in too. Then I did it all again!
The best part of this is you can make it at night and have it greet you all bright and happy when you open the fridge the next morning.
Or you can even put a lid on it and take it to work with you. Now THAT’S breakfast on the run if you ask me!

Strawberry & Chocolate Yogurt Parfait
Description

Ingredients
- ½ – 1 Cup Greek or Organic Plain Whole Yogurt
- â…” Cup Granola
- 5–6 Organic Strawberries, cut in half or quarters (or any berry of choice)
- 1–2 Oz. Organic chocolate Bar, cut in small pieces (70% or higher cacao)
Instructions
- Start by layering your parfait with a ÂĽ cup of yogurt. Â Top with â…“ cup granola
- Top with sliced berries and a few chocolate pieces
- Repeat and top with a dollup of yogurt and a few strawberries and slivered chocolate
